AlterEvo Engineering School offers the following full Professional Development Programs for engineers and technicians, designed by university professors using the most advanced learning methodologies, to be completed within 3 months to 2 years.

The Programs are based on the 70-20-10 model, whereby 10 % comes from formal traditional courseware, 20 % through a variety of activities that include social learning, coaching, mentoring, collaborative learning, and other peer-to-peer learning; and 70 % through hands-on experience monitored by a tutor.     

It is possible to pick independent sessions in our streamanity channel.


RAMS Engineering and RCM Development Program.
25 CEUs (equivalent to 70 CATS / 30 ECTS / 15 US Credits) – 250 hours
10 % Formal training (on-line) – 25 hours: Includes all aspects of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) engineering and the Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology, the training is fully up-to-date and for its preparation have been used international standards commonly used in the sector, such as ISO 14224, ISO 31000, API RP 691, SAE JA 1011, SAE J 1739, and IEC 60812, 61025, 61078, 61508, and 61882.
The course is based on problem-based learning, collaborative learning, and case methods (cases and assignment will be solved using free web applications).
20 % Relational training – 50 hours: Through the attendance to congresses, to write papers and articles, to publish videos, run conferences, seminars or webinars, and peer learning with the support and feedback from a mentor.
70 % Experiential training – 175 hours: Design, implantation, and assessment, monitored by a mentor, of a reliability engineering program or an RCM project in the customer’s organization.
At the end of the process, the student will receive 360-degree feedback.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Development Program.
25 CEUs (equivalent to 70 CATS / 30 ECTS / 15 US Credits) – 250 hours
10 % Formal training (on-line + onsite simulation session) – 25 hours: Includes all aspects for planning and carrying out successfully a Total Productive Maintenance program, from the fundamentals and theoretical topics to the practical issues, including the organizational structure and the developing plan.
The course is based on collaborative learning, case methods, and games-based learning. The training includes an onsite workshop consists of a simulation with Lego.
20 % Relational training – 50 hours: Through the attendance to congresses, to write papers and articles, to publish videos, run conferences, seminars or webinars, and peer learning with the support and feedback from a mentor.
70 % Experiential training – 175 hours: Design, implantation, and assessment, monitored by a mentor, of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program in real equipment in the customer’s organization.
At the end of the process, the student will receive 360-degree feedback.

ISO 55001 Asset Management Development Program.

20 CEUs (equivalent to 55 CATS / 25 ECTS / 10 US Credits) – 200 hours
10 % Formal training (on-line) – 20 hours: Includes all the Asset Management fundamentals and issues to implement, assess, and audit successfully an Asset Management System based on ISO 55001 standard. The content includes the integration of the system with BIM methodology to develop an Asset Information Modelling (AIM) program, as well as the methodology and best practices to successfully overcome the certification process.
The course is based on problem-based learning, collaborative learning, and case methods.
20 % Relational training – 50 hours: Through the attendance to congresses, to write papers and articles, to publish videos, run conferences, seminars or webinars, and peer learning with the support and feedback from a mentor.
70 % Experiential training – 140 hours: Design, implantation, and assessment, monitored by a mentor, of an ISO 55001 Asset Management System in real assets in the customer’s organization.
At the end of the process, the student will receive 360-degree feedback.

Tribology and Lubrication Engineering Development Program.
25 CEUs (equivalent to 70 CATS / 30 ECTS / 15 US Credits) – 250 hours
10 % Formal training (on-line) – 25 hours: Includes all aspects of tribology and lubrication engineering, including the analysis of friction, wear based on ISO 15243 Standard, lubrication fundamentals and applications, filtration and level of contamination based on ISO 4406 Standard, lubricant storage and handly, and oil analysis.
The course is based on problem-based learning, collaborative learning, and case methods.
20 % Relational training – 50 hours: Through the attendance to congresses, to write papers and articles, to publish videos, run conferences, seminars or webinars, and peer learning with the support and feedback from a mentor.
70 % Experiential training – 175 hours: Design, implantation, and assessment, monitored by a mentor, of a lubrication programme, including the design of an oil analysis program and the diagnostic of lubrication problems.
At the end of the process, the student will receive 360-degree feedback.

Field Lubricant Analyst ISO 18436-4 Category I Certification Program.
2.5 CEUs (equivalent to 7.0 CATS / 3.0 ECTS / 1.5 US Credits) – 26 hours
Formal training (on-line) – 24 hours: The course is according to the standard ISO 18436-Part 4 Lubricant Field Analyst Category I.
The course is based on problem-based learning, collaborative learning, and assignments.
Certification exam - 2 hours: According to ISO 18436-4 Category I.
